Letter From the Director

Thank you for your interest for the Professional Medical Coding Curriculum (PMCC). I'm one of American Academy Professional Coder's (AAPC) approved instructors that teach the Professional Medical Coding Curriculum (PMCC). The AAPC sponsors the PMCC program and this program is accredited by American Nurses Credential on Commission & Utah Nurses Association. Please visit AAPC's website to obtain further information about the PMCC along with other certifications offered:

  • CPC (Physician Coding)
  • COC (Outpatient Coding)
  • CPC-P (Payer)
  • CPB (Billing)
  • Several Specialty Examinations

Codes Unlimited Healthcare Academy (CUHA) is an authorized postsecondary school under the Tennessee Higher Education Commission - click the 'For institutions' tab.

This traditional course is taught on Saturday from 9 am -1:30 pm (unless the lesson deems us to stay longer) at UT Humphreys' building on Dunlap & Madison. The class session is 15 weeks long. The dates and times are stated on the enrollment form. Both of the pre-enrollment and enrollment forms must be completed and submitted before enrollment will be considered. The second page of the pre-enrollment must be signed and dated to prevent a delay in enrollment process. Prerequisite (enrollment) criteria are stated in catalog. Official transcripts must be submitted prior to enrollment along with any certificates. All students must submit their resumes. Please review the catalog for more details.

The total cost for the course is $2210 dollars which includes:

  • Fourteen classes plus a review session ($2025 tuition)
  • Plus membership to national & local chapter ($90)
  • Plus workbook ($95), and
  • An additional class within a three month period from class enrollment date

Workbooks will be submitted as payments are made. Please be mindful that workbooks are not allowed to be return once opened. The CPT, ICD-10-CM, & HCPCS Level 2 textbooks and national examination fee are NOT included in the above fee but are required. Textbooks details are located under frequently asked questions.

Maximum students allowed per class are 15 full time students. Part-time students are those that have more than two years of coding experience or have had previous coding classes and are only interest in individual classes (CEU's). If you are a member of AAPC, please ask about the class fees, etc.

A tour of the building will be provided to student on the first day of class. Directions to the UT GEB will be provided once enrollment is completed.
